No More Debt

“I was pastoring a mission church in Maine where most of the congregation were new Christians. At a men’s prayer meeting one evening, I invited those present to share matters for praise and thanksgiving. One young man had recently been through some financial problems and taken out a consolidation loan at his credit union. With unabashed gratitude, he joyfully announced to the group, “I want to praise the Lord tonight because I was finally able to borrow enough money to get out of debt.”
